Snowboarding
My left ankle, both my knees, my right wrist, both my elbows, my back, my right butt cheek... PAIN PAIN PAIN!!!
Yesterday Jen, her brother conner and her cuzin zak came by my house and picked me up to go snowboarding at 9am. A few dayz earlier, I told jen that I didnt have any real winter wear, since I'm mostly living off a scary and a light jacket which a huge sweater under it for now. So she said she'd get me snowpants lol...
After about 1 and a half hour drive, we made it to the mountains. We all got changed, and they also gave me a real winter jacket and gloves, which later turned out to be lifesavers! Then we went and got ours rented snowboards and boots.
At 11am, our personal trainer that came with the rented snowboards gave us a few lessons for an hour. I pretty much failed every lesson lmao... but so did zak :P haha. Conner was like a pro since he's gone snowboardin be4... jen on the other hand had been snowboarding be4, but only once, so she was about just as bad as us haha.
The lesson went by REALLY fast, and when the hour finished, we were on our way up the giant mountain on one of those lifts. The lift was about 3minutes long, so you can imagine how high we went!
We got off the lift and were standing on top of thise HUGE course... I didnt know how big it waa since from where we were standing, all I could see was about 100meters of a pretty flat easy course. It was called "Easy Street" Ha! Yeah right!
So conner went first, and he just zoomed ahead of us, but waited for us to catch up every 200meters lol. When I went down, it was pretty hard to go down forwards, so I mostly went downhill backwards. I know it sounds weird, but I cant really explain it lol... I was facing up the mountain while I was goin down... this way, it was easier for me to keep my balance :P
While I snowboarded like that, I still had to turn and face downwards, which made me gain speed really fast, but then I'd turn back facing up the mountain, which slowed me down cuz I used the "break system".
A lot of the time, I would face down the mountain, which would give me A LOT of speed, and I would be going so fast that when I tried to turn and slow down I would actually jam my board into the snow accidentally, which would lift me up into the air, hit the snow really hard, and totally flip my board and I at least once. It looked really bad when I fell, but it didn't hurt to much lol.
The fall that hurt the most was when I would be going down backwards pretty fast, and accidentally jam the board into the snow and I'd fall REALLY hard on my ass! I did that about at least 10 times. My ass hurt so0o much! lol
All these falls happened at least 5 times during my first run of the course, and it was a really huge course.
During our 2nd run of the course, jen fell really bad on her knee, and knee problems run through her family, and her knee has already been injured a while ago.. so when she fell on it. she heard a loud crack, and just sat where she was until we all got to her. We took off her snowboard, and zak told her to stretch it out, and when she did, she felt another crack, and it felt better. But she said it still hurt. So we chilled in the middle of the track, with people racing down the hill beside us, just waitin for jen to feel better. After about 10minutes, we were all up and ready to start falling again! Yeah! The course was about 10minutes long, but took us about 30minutes haha!
After that run of the course, we all went inside for lunch. I shared a small poutine with jen and I had some mountain due. Which was a pretty bad idea, cuz my stomach started hurtin me since I barely ate anything all day and just had a huge drink of soda. But after a while I felt better.
Jen and I chilled in the lounge, while zak and conner went snowboarding. We listened to music infront of the fireplace, and then noticed that over the fireplace, which was made of bricks, every brick has someone's name on it, there were at least 200 bricks with names on them. So I wanted to add us! I grabbed a small rock from the fireplace and looked around, and found an empty brick. I carved in "Ahmad + Jen" on a brick! Isn't is awsum? lol
Then I went over it with a pencil that I found in my pocket to make it more clear, but since I'm left handed, when I finished writing, my hand was all gray and the lead on my name was kinda smugged, but jen fixed it up lol.
Then we started looking around at what other people wrote, and I found this!!! LMAO!
We then got back to the mountain, where we ran into jen's dad. I felt kinda weird since I was wearing his snow outfit lol.
We all went up the lift again, but since conner and zak were getting pretty cocky, they went down "zoomer" which was a harder course, but they would meet us in the middle of our course cuz thats where the 2 courses met up. So jen and I went down easy street, and to my amazement, I was doin pretty good! Halfway through the track, we all decided that jen and I would go down once more, and zak and conner would go down 2 more times.
The next time we did the course, we finished it really fast, and everyone wanted to go a few more times, so we ended up going about 4 more times lol.
On our last course down, before we were to go home, we were almost right at the end of the course, when zak falls pretty hard. Jen snowboards past him and laughs. I fell a bit after him, beside jen. Conner went to zak to see what was up. So jen and I just sat there waitin for them to get up. Conner then yelled out to jen to come over, so we both did. Zak was in so0o much pain.
An instructor came by and asked if anythin was wrong, and zak said his wrist was killing him. So the instructor asked if zak would want a sled to take him down, but he said he'd rather walk, I think mostly because earlier that day, we were talking about hos embarrassing it would be to have to take down a sled lol. I actually wanted to go down the sled :P
So they took zak into the little medical place they had and jen and I waited outside. After about 15minutes, they said zak's wrist was dislocated.
We then drove to the hospital and zak had an x-ray, and the x-ray guy said zak's wrist is probably broken, but he'll have to wait for the doctor to check to make sure.
When we all walked through the hospital, we all looked retarded lol, cuz jen was limping like crazy cuz of her knee, I was just really stiff cuz it hurt everywhere, zak had his arm brace and conner... well that bastard didn't hurt himself. lol We all waited for another 30minutes. Zak's parents came... and then we had to leave.
I still dont know what happened to zak exactly, since when I got home at 7pm, I fell asleep RIGHT away cuz I was so worn out, and woke up at 8am! LOL!
Well I just asked Jen, and she said zak broke his arm/wrist in 3 different places and has a cast from his fingers to his shoulder =/ sucks to be him.
The funny thing is... ealier in the day, I said I wanted to break a bone cuz I've never done it before, and that it would be cool to go down the sled. LOL, now I kinda feel bad :P
When I woke up, I tried getting out of bed, but it took me about 10 minutes to do that! I couldn't lift myself up because my arms were hurting so much, and my legs were no help either. I just laid there for a bit, then finally gathered up enough energy to pull myself out of bed.
I still havent had breakfast yet... I'm soo0o stiff I can barely walk. I'm supposed to go to rideau mall tody with jenarth... But I think I'ma have to cancel! Oh and I got paid today! Finally! I spent my last paycheck in 3 dayz, so I've been broke for the past 11 dayz! Plus I have to give everyone's money back who I've borrowed from lol...
Well I'm go take some advil to try and make myself feel better... Cyaz!
