Halloween

Halloween night... and I'm at home.... its 8:30 right now... and it SUCKS!

I got off work at 7:30... and didn't have any plans... I called up bryan, but he was workin late tonight, and a couple of other people were already trick or treating... So I was like "screw it".

Hmmm... I really thought I would have a lot of fun this halloween... considering it's the first one I've had in 4 years!

There's going to be a "Black Light" dance at my school on friday the 16th. I really wanna go! But I can't really go with anyone from my school, cuz I'm not that close to anyone yet... I'ma ask an old friend from a different school if she wants to tag along... I've never been to a high school dance, and I really wanna check out the whole atmosphere and everything.

Quit - Hired!

I called in "sick" at harvy's on Saturday... and then the manager was like "yea... i know you've got another job, so I'm going to let you do your thing with that. I'll scratch out your name on the schedule and you can just bring in the uniform and drop it off." I was going to quit anyways, so I was like "haha ok..." Then I went to my brother who also quit on friday, and asked him how the manager knew I had another job, and he said "when I was quitting, he asked me if you were quitting too, so I said, I dont know... but he has another job" DAMN! My brother's an idiot!!! Anyways, I dont care cuz I was gonna quit anyways :)

Today (sunday) was my first day at opinion search (after my training). I didnt know how much work it was, and I really didnt have anything to do all day on sunday, so I decided to work from 1pm to 9pm, an 8 hour shift. I sat beside this lebanese girl, and a yemeni guy... After each call... we would just wait for the next one to come, usually about a minute or so. And during that time, I talked to both of them. They were both really cool lol... but I talked to the yemeni guy cuz the girl kept coming and going, I had no idea wut she was doin lol.

Anyways... the guy got off work at 5pm, so I worked alone for the rest of the time (another 4 hours). Surprisingly enough, I wasn't drained or pissed off at all... there were times when I was starting to get frustrated when everyone would just hang up, but when I finally completed a whole survey, my spirit was lifted and I'd be all happy again :P

The first survey I was doing was friggen 40minutes long to complete!!! The others were about 20minutes to complete. After like halfway through the survey, I start feeling sorry for them because it takes so long lmao. I saw my cuzin Sarah there... while I was in the middle of a call, she tapped me on the back and waved to me, when I got off the call, I couldnt find where she went, so I didnt see her for the rest of the day.

Thats pretty much it for my first day... I'm working from monday to thursday this week from 4:30pm-7:30pm. Then I'll have to make a new schedule :) I love how I pick my own hours! I feel so in control! :P

Training at Opinion Search

Today I had 5 hours of training for Opinion Search! From 4pm toll 9pm... but for some reason, after school ended (3:05pm) I thought my training started at 5pm... so I kinda took my time getting home and getting ready. Then I checked the sheet, and it said 4-9pm!!! I was like shit!!!! By that time it was already 3:45pm... the bus left at 3:42pm plus the next one was in another 20minutes! So I was obviously going to be late!

The bus finally comes at 4:02pm then there was a half hour bus ride there... I finally arrives at 4:30. Some women that works there lead the way to the training room... I walk into, and I see a HUGE oval table with about 20 teenagers sitting around it, and some guy standing in the front talking. I really didn't think there were going to be so many people! I apologized for being late, but he said that they were actually just about to start, they were just filling out paper work. He told me what to do with my paper work, and I did it all in about 10minutes.

For the next 4 hours... we all just sat there and listening to the guy talk, then a women came in, and pretty much just repeated what the guy said, and then another guy came in and talked some more!! It was so0o0o0o boring!!! They talked about EVERYTHING, like how we're supposed to communicate over the phone, our tone, how to reply to offensive people, or people who lose track of the survey. Then also stuff like how everything is confidential, and that we're not allowed to talk about ANY of the answers we get, or what kind of questions we were asking. The guy even said that we cant mention it in a blog or facebook. He said they sometimes type in "opinion search" and the company name they're doing the survey for in google, and find whoever is talking about it! LMAO!!!

Finally, at 8:30pm we get to use the computers and learn how to connect to a caller and how to survey, enter our data, and how to turn off the survey stuff. It was all pretty simple, but we needed to remember a few pointers here and there.

I also met this guy named brian... When i saw him, I felt like I knew him from somewhere, so I went up to him during our 15minute break and asked his name, hoping it would ring a bell, but it didn't... He also said that he thought he knew me from somewhere lol... He said he lives in a certain part of ottawa, and I know a couple of people from there, so I named 'em but he didn't know them lol :P We just chilled for the rest of the day (our computers were beside each other). He was pretty cool. But he's going to be working the day shifts which sucks cuz I'll be working the evening shifts, so probably the only time I'll even see him is maybe on the weekends at work.

My cuzin sarah also works there, we're both starting our first week together. In the end of the lectures, they asked us to circle the shifts we'd like to take for the following week (Saturday - Friday) The only thing I knew at the time was that I had work at harvy's for saturday and sunday, but I didn't know the rest of the week's schedual. I had to work at least 16 hours each week, so I put monday to thursday, 4:30pm - 7:30pm... and on sunday from 5pm - 9pm. I really hope my 2 jobs dont overlap lol, but I'm pretty sure they will.

I'm really thinking of quitting harvy's. I get paid like $75 tomorrow... and plus I really dont like working in fast food places, I only accepted to work cuz I couldnt find anything else. Hmm.... I'm going to try to see how "Opinion Search" is... before I just quit harvy's.

Ahh! and when I got home, at about 10pm, I had to write up a whole chemistry lab report which is due at midnight tonight! I had to hand it in through e-mail to my teacher. I wrote it up really fast in about an hour lol... I think its a pretty crappy lab report, but whatever :P And the thing is... I didnt find out I had to hand it in until TODAY! You see... he usually just picks 10 random people's names from a bowl, which means they have to hand it in (this is 1 week prior to the due date) and then on the day the lab is due, he picks 3 more random names who have to hand it in that day! So he picked my name, and so I had to get started real fast! LOL.

Well tomorrow is friday.... and I planned this little stupid reunion lmao!!! On facebook I created an event called "Leslie Park ReUnion" It was supposed to bring everyone from my class over all the 8 years in leslie park together. Currently, there's 3 people attending (including me) and about 7 people saying maybe, 2 people saying no, and 8 people who haven't replied lol. Since I got nothing better to do, I'm going to SRB after skewl tomorrow to meet up with jenarth. Sinc jenarth lives literally 15seconds walking from leslie park, we're gonna see if anyone shows up :P I wouldnt be surprised if nobody did lol.

The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus Concert!

Yesterday was so0o amazing!!! One of the best dayz of my life!!! :D

I'll just skip the whole skewl day, cuz it was dull.

Well I met up with bryan at rideau mall, and from there, we were supposed to walk to the concert area. But both of us didnt exactly know where it was. Thankfully, I had the directions written on my cell! We followed the instructions halfway, then kinda got lost! Bryan went into his cousin's tattoo shop and asked for directions... and they told him where to go. He led the way for a bit, then we both just stopped and looked around lmao... cuz we had no idea what we were doing! I finally ran into a girl I know who was also going to the concert, and she told me its just down the street (where we just came from!) So we went back and found it :D

There was a line up of about 30 people when we got there (1hour before the doors open). I found courtney and her friend FIRST in line :D So we butt ahead of everyone and we were 2nd :P So we all chilled for another hour an a bit... it was pretty damn cold!!! Here are some pics :P

Then the doors OPENED!!!! I was so hyped! All four of us got in, and right behind us were 2 other girls I know from school. We were all the first one's in, so we ran right to the stage. We were literally 2 meters away from the stage!!! We were there during the whole concert :D

Bit by bit, people starting arriving, and not before long, it was packed! It wasnt a really big place. I heard it can only hold up to 500 people. There were also people in balconies!



The first band to come out was "Monty Are I" I had no idea who they were, but when they started playing, it was AMAZING!!! I actually liked this band out of all 4!!! Including The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus! LOL They played for like half an hour which was awsum!!! The lead singer even got off the stage and came right beside the railing! I touched him! Yes, TOUCHED! haha!!! It was so friggen cool!



OMG! While the lead singer of Monty Are I was beside us, he kissed my friend on the cheek!!!! Lucky bastard!!! haha!!

Then they got off, and there was about a 15minute period where there was only background music, and no band on stage. So I got to know these 2 really cool girls! Emilie and Christine (and their friends, like 4 other girls) They were really cool.

The 2nd band was "New Years Day". The lead singer was a girl... and she SUCKED! lol! The audience BARELY applauded when she finished each song. Anyways, I took a few pics of her... But I didnt want to waist my battery on her :P



After that band, came Amber Pacific. EVERYONE went crazy! I personally didnt know them lol... but I took lots of pics cuz Bryan luvs that band. They were very energetic though :D Pretty awsum! The guitarists started throwing their guitar picks into the crowd throughout the performance, and I caught one :D I was so0o0o happy!!! Haha! I wanted to give it to a friend, cuz I wasnt a big fan of Amber Pacific. but both Bryan and Courtney wanted it! I really didnt know how to decide... Bryan already caught the "playlist" which was a paper with the titles of each song that was played, that theband used to see wut song they would sing next! He even got it with a drop of sweat on it! Haha! In the end, Courtney ended up getting it lol... cuz Bryan was just like "fine, just give it to her!" LOL



During the interval between Amber Pacific and The Red Jumpsuit Appratus, which was about half an hour, Emilie asked me if I'd go with her into the MOSHPIT! Now a moshpit is when the audience makes a big circle, and people jump into it and like GO CRAZY! Bumping and bouncing off eachother while the band plays CRAZY ass music! And if someone in the moshpit was pushed to the sidelines (the audience), the people would push them right back in! I was pretty hesitant to go lol... cuz during other bands, the moshpits looked scary!!! But I said yes :D its an experience :D Emilie and I decided to go halfway though RJA's concert.

When RJA came out, the crowd went WILD!!! My ears hurt so0o much!!! LOL! They were really good! I only knew 2 songs for em lol "Face Down" and "Your Guardian Angle"



They sang about 3 songs, until emilie asked me to go to the moshpit! We knew if we went, we wouldnt be able to get our spots back, cuz everyone was pushing their way to the front. I didnt mind, cuz the show was almost over anyways. So emilie and I push out way out of the crowd into the middle of the audience (where the moshpit usually was). We waited till the band played a crazy song, and then a bunch of people started jumping around and ramming eachother! Emilie help my hand and we jumped into the moshpit! Both of us got slammed everyone lol! Someone elbowed me in the back, but it didnt hurt :P By the end of the moshpits, I was sweating like crazy!

Emilie was so0o tiny, cmopared to everyone else in the moshpit! So both of us went into the sides. Just pushing everyone back into the moshpit! Later, when other moshpits were formed, i would jump in for about 15 seconds (which was a long time!) then jump back out to emilie! LOL

While we were in the back, Emilie wanted to go "crowd surfing" which is when we lift her up and the crowd move her around over them. I thought it was an awsum idea, so I went down to pick her up, and a guy nearby lifted her up with me, people were actually starting to hold her and try to move her around, but then we put her down, and then about 4 big guys working there were forcing themselves on the guy who helped me pick emilie up! I wasn't sure if it was because he lifted her up, or for something else, so emilie and I ducked and pretty much ran to the other side of the conert lmao! We looked back and saw the staff pretty much fighting the the guy... they even had their hands on eachother's clothing (like when u grab someone). After a while, I noticed everything cooled down :P

We both chilled in the back area, singing along to the songs. I even recorded us singing along! haha!

After a few more songs, the concert was just about over, so Courtney and her friend maggie went downstairs to by the bands' merchandise. When the concert was over, I went downstairs and met up with courtney and maggie. They had 2 bags full of band crap in em. They noticed I didnt buy anything, and I told em I didnt have any money on me, so they lent me $25 which was enough to buy a t-shit, album, and a poster! Of course I went to Monty Are I's stand :D Me and Emilie took pics with Monty Are I's guitarist! We also got his autograph. I REALLY wanted to find the lead singer, but I he was nowhere to be found (the next day I found out that the girl in my school got pics with the whole Monty Are I band!!) I luv this t-shirt I got!



I didnt get to see Bryan ever since I left for the moshpit, cuz he decided to stay in the front and watch the band! I called him up after the concert was over, but I guess his phone was turned off cuz all I got was his answering machine. So I just left a message! :P

Courtney, Maggie, and I walked to rideau mall and caught a bus from there. I took the 86 home, and they took some other bus. I accidently passed my house lol... So since it was 12am at the time, no more buses were coming back down that street, so I just had to walk around 20minutes! But it was all worth it!

That day was amazing!!! I swear I had so0o0 much fun!!! Cant wait for another concert!!! Haha!
